There has been a significant growth in adventure tourism globally in recent years including Turkey. Fethiye is a good example of this trend as the resort has great potential for adventure tourism. Adventure tourism helps holiday destinations to attract sustainable tourism management in comparison with the traditional sea, sun and sand form of tourism. The specific aim of this study is to reveal the benefits of adventure tourism for the adventure traveller and for the providing organization too. Questionnaire technique was used to gather data. The questionnaire was directed and employed towards the service providers. Data was collated between May and October 2014 and 161 questionnaires were completed via face to face survey methodology. Adventure travel/ traveller benefits were ascertained from enquiries appertaining to: experience, activity, environment and other miscellaneous factors. Findings of the survey identified that the greatest benefits of adventure tourism for the providing organisations were 'self actualization' and 'supporting culture and environment' both of which, from statistical analysis, appeared to have a direct impact on increased business opportunity and growth market potential. As a result of this study, it is surmised that the provision of serving such destinations with adventure tourism should be of significant benefit to travellers and service providers alike.Keywords: Adventure tourism, benefits of adventure tourism, adventure-based leisure/recreation, service providers.
ÖzBu çalışmanın amacı, sosyal amaç bağlantılı bir etkinlik olarak kabul edilebilecek "Fethiye Yaşam İçin Yarış" etkinliğine katılımı etkileyen başlıca motivasyon sebeplerini belirlemek ve bu sebeplerin katılımcıların ilgili etkinliğe katılarak elde ettikleri memnuniyetlerine olan etkilerini incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda yardım motivasyonuna ilişkin üç faktörün (yardım etkinliğine katılım, etkinliğe katılmayı görev bilmek, yardımcı olma huzuru) katılımcıların memnuniyetlerini etkileme derecesinin ortaya koyulması araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın ana kütlesini yardım etkinliğine katılmak üzere kayıt yaptıran 329 kişi oluşturmakta olup, 12 Nisan 2015 tarihinde etkinlik alanında kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle yüz yüze gerçekleştirilen veri toplama süreci sonucunda toplam 189 katılımcı (ana kütlenin % 57'si) araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Geçerli 185 adet anketten elde edilen verilerle korelasyon, faktör ve regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; yardım motivasyonu faktörlerinin etkinliğe katılmaktan duyulan memnuniyete pozitif yönde etkilerinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sosyal amaç bağlantılı bir etkinliğin sosyal girişimcilik bağlamında değerlendirilmesi ve yardım etkinliğine katılım motivasyonunu irdelemesi açısından önemli bir çalışma olduğu düşünülmektedir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Sosyal Pazarlama, Sosyal Girişimcilik, Sosyal Amaç Bağlantılı Etkinlik, Yaşam İçin Yarış Etkinliği, Motivasyon. AbstractThis study aims to identify the main motivation reasons affecting the participation of "Fethiye Race for Life" event which can be considered as a cause-related event and to examine the effects of participants' motivation factors on their satisfaction of participating related event. For this purpose; it is investigated to find out the influence level of the three factors related to helping motivations (involvement with the charity, feeling a duty to participate and desiring to experience helper's high) on satisfaction of their participating. Population of the research is composed by 329 people registered to attend the event and after the face to face data collection process on 12th April, 2015 and totally 189 participants' questionnaires (57% of population) are collected via convenience sampling. The data obtained from 185 valid questionnaires are analyzed by correlation, factor and regression analysis. According to findings, there are positive correlations and effects between the factors of helping motivations and satisfaction through participating the event. This research is considered to be an important study in terms of both evaluation of a cause-related event under the scope of social entrepreneurship and consideration of helping motivation factors for participating a charity event.
The purpose of the study is to reveal the aspects of the stakeholder on relocation of Fethiye industrial site. Question form has been used to collect data. In total, question form was applied to 338 stakeholders. This study has been carried out in October 2015. As a result of the study, most of the stakeholders agree to relocate the industrial area.The majority of the survey participants indicated "The Motocross Event Venue Area" as the relocation area. There is no significant statistical difference between the aspects of relocation area with gender, ownership status, education status and age range.According to result of the study, the suggestion presented for relocation area with the aspects of the stakeholder will contribute to choice of industrial relocation.Keywords: Fethiye Industrial Area, Choice of Industrial Relocation, Stakeholder. Paydaş Bakış Açısı ile Yeni Kuruluş Yeri Seçimi: Fethiye Sanayi Sitesi ÖrneğiÖZET Araştırmanın amacı, Fethiye sanayi sitesinin taşınmasına ilişkin paydaş görüşlerinin ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Veri toplamada soru formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında hazırlanan soru formu toplamda 338 paydaşa uygulanmıştır. Bu araştırma Ekim 2015 tarihinde yapılmıştır.Araştırma sonucunda katılımcıların bir çoğu sanayi sitesinin taşınmasına ilişkin görüş belirtmişlerdir. Araştırmaya katılanların büyük çoğunluğu yeni sanayi sitesinin kuruluş yerinin "Motokros etkinliğinin yapıldığı yer" olması gerektiğini belirtmişlerdir. Araştırmaya katılanların kuruluş yerine ilişkin görüşleri cinsiyet, mülkiyet durumu, eğitim durumu ve yaş aralığına göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir. Araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda paydaş bakış açısı ile yeni sanayi sitesi kurulumuna ilişkin yer önerisi yeni kuruluş yeri seçimine katkı sağlayacaktır.
