Various kinds of alternative product innovations have been to substitute disposable sanitary napkins for reducing the increasing waste of disposable sanitary napkins and reduce environmental pollution. The products in question include, among others, menstrual cups, tampons. Tampons and menstrual cups are still rarely used by Indonesian women because there is little knowledge about menstrual hygiene and how to use them are still considered taboo. The objective of the study is to compare the analysis of the use of sanitary napkins, tampons, and menstrual cups during menarche. The method used in this study is a literature study from the journal published in 2015-2020. The database was from Ebsco, ProQuest, and Science Direct database, and 231 articles were obtained and filtered so that the final result were 12 articles that matched. The results of the comparison of the use of sanitary napkins, tampons, and menstrual cups in terms of hygiene and safety, environmental impact, and effectiveness showed that menstrual cups were superior to the other two products. In conclusion, the alternatives menstrual sanitation tools besides sanitary napkins are tampons and menstrual cups.  This paper can be the basis for further research using different research designs to obtain more complete data.
Caring for LBW babies at home is must be intensively. One of the methods used is Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) by providing warmth to LBW babies. Family involvement in the care of LBW babies is a very important. This community service aims to optimize the support of family in the care of LBW babies. Team members conducted this activity in Februari-Mei 2020 with the home visit & counseling method. Participants in this activity were 25 mothers who gave birth to LBW babies and who live in Malang Raya. Data Collection used questionnaires. The result of this activity, the majority of family support in the care of LBW babies was in good category (76%). In conclusion, family support plays an important role in the sustainability of the implementation of KMC at home.
Adolescent growth and development is influenced by 2 factors, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors are factors that influence the fulfillment of developmental tasks originating from within the individual, both physical and psychological, while external factors are factors that influence the fulfillment of developmental tasks originating from outside the individual self. There are several examples of external factors, namely biological and physical environment, psychosocial and depression, family and cultural factors, and economic factors. Psychosocial factors involve psychological and social aspects. The social aspect can be done without having to face to face directly or can be done online using social media. the freedom of a person to use social media causes various abuses of social media, for example cyberbullying. Cyberbullying in adolescents is influenced by several factors, namely personality type, perception of the victim, the role of parent and child interaction. The research aims to determine the relationship of personality types with the tendency of cyberbullying behavior in adolescents. The study was conducted on 10th grade high school teenagers in Malang. The sample was 126 students with a purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using Eysenck Personality Questionare and cyberbullying instruments. Data were analyzed using Chi Square test. There is no significant relationship between personality types and the tendency of cyberbullying behavior in 10th grade teenagers in Malang with Asymp. Sig 0.128 or p-value> 𝞪 (0.05).
Breastfeeding is the process of giving mother’s breast milk to baby. Breast milk is the best nutrition for babies. However, there are inhibiting factors that influence mother to decide stop breastfeed. One of the factors is the low Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy (BSE). BSE can be used to predict mothers, who will stop the breastfeeding earlier in the future. BSE will increase during pregnancy until 6 weeks postpartum. The purpose of this study was to analysis comparation of BSE during third trimester pregnancy and postpartum period. The design of this study was observational analytic with a prospective cohort study approach. The study was conducted in Malang, on Kedungkandang District from January to May 2018. Fifty-eight respondents were involved in this study. The instruments used in this study were Prenatal Breastfeeding Self Efficacy Scale (PBSES) and Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale Short Form (BSES-SF). The data were analysed using paired t-test. The result of this study was the average BSE score of mothers during pregnancy is 57,59 ± 7,49 and BSE at postpartum, 58.53 ± 5,99. While, the paired t-test obtained a p value of 0.365, it can be concluded that there were no significant differences between BSE mothers during pregnancy and postpartum.
Keberlanjutan perawatan ibu nifas dan bayi BBLR di rumah sangat penting dilakukan melalui pendampingan perawat. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu dalam perawatan nifas dan bayi prematur di rumah. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada Januari-Maret 2020 dengan metode konseling secara homevisit. Ibu yang berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan ini adalah yang melahirkan bayi BBLR hidup dan bertempat tinggal di wilayah Malang & Batu. Pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner. Dua puluh lima responden ikut berpartisipasi memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik (88%), parenting self-efficacy dalam kategori tinggi (84%), dan tingkat stress ringan (84 %). Hasil uji korelasi antara tangkas pengetahuan dengan parentingself-efficacy signifikan dan berkorelasi sedang (p-value =0.009; r =0.510). Sedangkan antara pengetahuan dan stress ibu tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dalam merawat bayi BBLR di rumah (p-value =0,404; r =0,175). Kesimpulannya, pentingnya peningkatan pendampingan oleh tenaga kesehatan pada ibu nifas yang memiliki bayi BBLR di rumah
