Abstract-Technovigilancy is a new action in Mexico, it was born in USA in 1976, to grantee the efficiency and safety of medical devices. It can be a code, document that contains mandatory requirements; it uses the word shall, is generally adopted into law by authoroty that has jurisdiction, and Standard, document that contain mandatory requierements, but compliance tends to be voluntary; In Medical Equipment the clasification of the reports is divided in 3 diferents class I, II and III in which higher number indicate higher risk ; This notifications are given to the industry in order to prevent and repair the mane problem of the surce.Palabras claves-Tecnovigilancia, dispositivos médicos, incidentes adversos. I. INTRODUCCIÓNLos avances tecnológicos en el área médica han permitido en la medicina realizar cada vez más diagnósticos y tratamiento; esto ha incrementado el riesgo a que el paciente u operario presente incidentes adversos con los dispositivos médicos empleados.Ante esta realidad surge la necesidad de supervisar el uso de los dispositivos médicos en las áreas operativas a fin de detectar y prevenir éstos incidentes adversos, para lo cual hay que detectarlos, clasificarlos, codificarlos, difundirlos, indicar alternativas de solución y verificar que estas se den o en su defecto sancionarlas.Este es uno de los retos actuales de México, implementar un sistema de vigilancia nacional e internacional de dispositivos médicos.De ahí el papel del CENETEC dentro de la sensibilización de ésta necesidad y la labor de difusión desempeñada por éste centro.
