In view of the increased capacity of the SEES, as well as the needs of vessels in high maneuverability, which is caused by the use of energy-consuming power plants, the main propulsion plants driven by permanent magnet motors are considered, as well as the development of valve inductor motors of domestic and foreign manufacturers. The principle of operation of the engines of the Azipod family is almost the same, but the differences are in the applications of this engine and the total output power. Considered and opposed to each other are the main competing manufacturers of propulsion pod, such as: Azipod -which was the main emphasis, as well as the propulsion pod of the Schottel-Werft Josef Becker GmbH & Co. KG, Siemens AG Marine Engineering and Mermaid by Rolls-Royce. Examples of the use of the propulsion pod of the Azipod VI family -the newest paddle module designed for operation in the hard conditions of the northern sea route, on the vessels of the Russian ship company -«Sovkomflot» are shown. The domestic developments of synchronous propulsion motors -switched reluctance drive are considered, their main difference from other types of propulsion engines is shown. At present, switched reluctance drive are produced by domestic enterprises for the coal and drilling industries, but one of these types of engines is installed in the tug, which is the first successful project of this kind. Consequently, for electromotive systems, the trend is to create a propulsion pod on the synchronous motors with permanent magnets, and with sufficient funding from Russian enterprises, there are all prerequisites for the development of domestic as in-ship electromotive complexes and based on switched reluctance drive. Vestnik Gosudarstvennogo universiteta morskogo i rechnogo flota imeni admirala S. O.
The rapid improvement of lithium-ion rechargeable battery (LIRB) has given a powerful impetus to the development of environmentally friendly, powerful and universal for use on ships and underwater vehicles. The practice of building electric ships for many years has confirmed the effectiveness of electric propulsion for many types of vessels. Organically, electric propulsion fits into icebreakers and those vessels whose operation is associated with increased maneuvering modes and variable loads on propellers. LIRB has been actively used on ferries operating in a wide range of outdoor temperatures. On diesel-electric submarines (DES), the use of rechargeable batteries is traditional and is the main source of electricity. The subsequent development of new sources of electricity, the improvement of power semiconductor devices and microelectronics has led to the successful implementation of ideas for the construction of fully electric offshore facilities.
The article discusses deep-water apparatus designed for an immersion depth from 2,000 to 6,000 m, its design characteristics and layout of the main parts. The apparatus have contours close to the body of rotation with a horizontal axis. In order to simplify the systems and reduce their cost, electric drives are introduced as widely as possible, the hydraulic system is minimized. Electrical power system of direct current, providing electricity to all consumers of the apparatus is considered. As a power source have proposed lithium-ion batteries, which are currently at an early stage of development, but with high potential for improvement. The propulsion complex consists from switched reluctance drives and the backup version is electric motors with permanent magnets on the rotor. For the first have shown the main ways of controlling the movement of the apparatus: changing the rotational speed of the sustainer electric motors, including their work "at odds", as well as the use of rudders or rotary profiled grids installed in the jet of each sustainer motors. The light sources for exterior and interior lighting with built-in LEDs are preferred and promising as light sources, and their advantages as compared to lamps with traditional lamps are shown. The main characteristics of the outdoor lighting system, photo-video and television systems; emergency lighting in the habitable area is provided by LED lights with built-in batteries. The paper proposes a developed compact electric power system for a habitable deep-water apparatus on modern domestic high-tech electrical equipment.
