Traditional arts of born and develops from urban society by keeping a manifestation of its and forms are different in the regions. Ceprotan as a traditional arts from Sekar Village, Donorojo Sub-district, Pacitan Regency. Form of this research is qualitative descriptive with focused to describe and explain about Ceprotan performing art in Sekar Village, that source from the local history, that is the story of Ki Godeg and Dewi Sekar. Research object are Ceprotan performing art which held once a year, in Senin Kliwon days, in Dulqokdah month. Data collected technique using observation, noted, and content analysis. Result of research find that Ceprotan is a traditional art performed same time with Bersih Desa ceremony in Sekar Village society. Ceprotan perforiming art held once a year, only in day of Senin Kliwon, month of Dulqokdah in Lunar calendar. Ceprotan performing art performed the sendratari (dramatic dancing art) telling the story of Ki Godeg and Dewi Sekar journies with develop the Sekar Village. In the end of performing, done attraction throwing the young coconuts from some of young people from Sekar Village.
Globalization era will bring negative impact if it does not be treated properly, particularly for young generation. Most students do not know how to admire others, particularly when they interact with others. This condition can be witnessed in the use of the language use of students in SMK in Surakarta who still do not understand the proper style of Javanese language. This research aims to describe and explain about the phenomena of Javanese language style use of SMK in Surakarta. Data source is obtained from observation and in-depth interview. The result shows that there are still many mistaken use among the students. It is stimulated by the lack of habit of the students in using kromo inggil by parents, the lack of relationship among school, parents, and society. There is also the lack of educational model about appropriate unggah-ungguh basa. It shows that there is still found the use of mistake unggah-ungguh basa among students.Era globalisasi apabila tidak disikapi secara bijak akan membawa dampak negatif, utamanya bagi para pemuda. Banyak siswa yang tidak mengerti mengenai cara menghormati orang lain, utamanya ketika berinteraksi dengan mitra tutur. Hal ini terlihat dari penggunaan bahasa siswa di SMK di Surakarta yang masih belum memahami ragam bahasa Jawa yang baik dan benar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan mengenai fenomena penggunaan ragam bahasa Jawa siswa SMK. Sumber data berupa penggunaan ragam bahasa Jawa di beberapa SMK di Surakarta. Proses pengambilan data dengan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan masih banyak kesalahan penggunaan ragam bahasa di kalangan siswa. Penyebabnya ialah siswa tidak dibiasakannya berbahasa krama inggil oleh orang tua, kurangya kerja sama antara pihak sekolah, orang tua, dan masyarakat. Juga belum adanya model pendidikan mengenai unggah-ungguh basa yang dirasa cocok. Dengan demikian, masih banyak ditemukan penggunaan unggah-ungguh basa yang keliru di kalangan siswa.
The aim of this study is to develop wayang beber animation media that used as a means to preserve the tradition of wayang beber Pacitan. This study was developmental research that consists of 5 phases, including problem identification, planning, design and development, stabilization, and dissemination. The data were stories and pictures of wayang beber, obtained through filed observation and interviewing informants, namely dalang (puppeteers) and expert in animation. Data validity was tested through data triangulation techniques, including source of data and theory. The result of this study produces wayang beber animation media that is disseminated to several government institutions, namely office for culture and tourism, elementary schools, junior high schools and senior high schools in Pacitan District. The existence of wayang beber animation media will supposedly be utilized as a media for introducing wayang beber to community and students in Pacitan District.
