Background The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has caused uncertainty in many economic sectors. An entrepreneurial leadership style can become an alternative method of leadership for facing uncertainty. Methods This study uses secondary data from the Scopus website as samples. The samples are papers from Indonesia, China, and the USA. Data were collected through the Scopus website, using keywords entrepreneurial and leadership, saved into a CSV file, and processed using VOSviewer. The findings were analyzed using a systematic search. Results Entrepreneurial leadership as a topic was more prevalent in China than Indonesia and the USA. There were 101 papers from Chinese authors, 28 from Indonesian authors, and 575 from USA authors. However, there was no topic of entrepreneurial leadership connected to the strings of the topic of COVID-19. This study also found that inclusive leadership was used in China and local government leadership was used by the USA government to anticipate the impact of COVID-19. Conclusions Entrepreneurial leadership was not used for COVID-19 pandemic management in USA, China, and Indonesia as a research trend.
The main objective of this research is to find out effect of motivation on employees’ performance in cooperative institution. In general, the research on effect of motivation on employees’ performance in financial institutions like; commercial banks, insurance companies and cooperative institutions is rarely found in Nepal. Thus, this research tries to explore the impact of motivation on employee’s performance of cooperatives in Nepal. This study is based on descriptive research design. Independent variables on this study are salary and allowance, social security, career development and training facility. The dependent variable on study is employee’s performance. Populations of the study were 329 cooperatives and 30 cooperatives are selected using convenience sampling technique. Data collected through structured questionnaire. Total 230 questions were distributed to the respondent out of which only 193 were used for this study. Five - point Likert scale questions were sent to respondent, where 1= strongly disagree and 5 = strongly agree. Descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis are used to analyze the data. Test of reliability has been conducted by using Cronbach’s Alpha. The average value of Cronbach’s Alpha is 0.989 and reliability is acceptable. The study finds that there is a positive and significant effect of career development and training facility on employees’ performance. Salary and allowance have insignificant negative effect and social security has insignificant positive effect on employee’s performance.
The purpose of this research is to examine the behavior of stock price in Nepalese commercial banks. This research used MPS as dependent variable and experiment variables as EPS, PE Ratio, DY ratio, Size, ROE, BV per share and ROA. The secondary data has been collected from the annual report published by commercial bank for five years’ period from 2015/16 to 2019/20. Descriptive and analytical research design used to analyze and interpret the data using SPSS version 23. Eighteen commercial banks are taken as sample out of 27 population using convenience sampling technique. Multiple linear regression model has used to show the impact of independent variables on MPS. The result indicates that there is a positive and statistically significant effect of EPS, PE ratio and size of bank son MPS. Other variables have negligible effects.
The purpose of this study is to discover the efficacy of internal control system of Nepal Telecom. This study followed a case study research design, because it offers a deeper perspective and clearer understanding of the internal control system and its practices. The sample size of this study consisted of all the employees working at different level in Nepal Telecom. The convenience sampling method has been applied for selection of respondents. The researchers distributed 280 questionnaires out of them only 240 respondents returned usable questionnaires. This study was totally based on primary data. In order to make proper analysis descriptive and inferential statistics were used using SPSS software version 23. The finding of this study showed that the control environment, risk assessment, control activities, communication and monitoring affects perceived performance of organization. Effective internal control system helped to increase working efficiency also. The recommendations were made that the company should emphasize the required internal organizational management structure to be implemented. This is because of the internal organizational management structure positively affects the execution of strategies and policies, thereby achieving a sustainable competitive advantage and increment of profit.
This study aims to show the role of internal control in enhancing the corporate governance of insurance companies in Nepal. To attain the study’s objectives, four independent variables risk assessment, monitoring and supervision, control environment, and internal audit have been considered as well three dependent variables independent directors, transparency, and responsibility are taken. A descriptive research design has been used in the study. Fifteen insurance companies in Nepal have been chosen using the convenience sampling technique. Primary data has been collected from the staff of insurance companies in Nepal. A total of 384 respondents’ information is used in the research. Descriptive and inferential statistics are used for data analysis using SPSS and Excel software. Based on the result of the analysis, it was found that risk assessment elements positively enhance the corporate governance elements of transparency and responsibility. Elements of monitoring and supervision have a positive role to enhance the independent directors and transparency but a negative role on responsibility. Likewise, a controlled environment enhances the independent directors in a positive direction. Internal audit positively enhances the independent directors but responsibility has been affected negatively. The success of corporate governance is affected by the internal control activities in insurance companies in Nepal.
