The issues of leadership and corporate social responsibility have been thoroughly investigated and widely discussed in the literature but these two concepts have been seldom studied together. The aim of the paper is to identify the key research problems and approaches related to the relationships between leadership and CSR manifested in quality publications. The systematic literature survey methodology is applied to identify and analyse key publications in the field. The research sample includes the quality papers retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database. The paper discusses main research problems and issues related to the study of relationships between leadership and CSR, research approaches, methods and study contexts. Finally, the paper provides recommendations for further studies related to relationships between the concepts of leadership and corporate social responsibility.
The aim of the paper is to identify university’s activities and characteristics that enable it to reorient itself towards the idea of an entrepreneurial university. In the modern world, universities have an additional important role, that is, the need to adopt entrepreneurial strategies without disrupting the quality of teaching and research. First of all, the authors discuss the idea of entrepreneurship and focus mainly on academic entrepreneurship. The idea of entrepreneurship is becoming more and more desirable in a modern organization thus also in a university. The new role of the university is to create the entrepreneurial ideas and attitudes among students and all university employees, as well as to initiate entrepreneurial activities in academic institutions. It is also necessary to plan entrepreneurial university architecture. The article focuses on presenting the theoretical foundations of the academic entrepreneurship process to finally make a synthetic comparison of the features of a traditional university and an entrepreneurial university. The main research question of the article is: In which dimensions the idea of an entrepreneurial university can lead to the development of the university?The result of the research is a new combination of attributes and characteristics of an enterprising university and new directions of university’s development. By this paper the authors take part in the discussion about the implementation of the idea of entrepreneurship in contemporary university management.
Abstract:The aim of this article is to present the selected theoretical and practical aspects of human capital and strategic reorientation in human resources management in the manufacturing company. The organisation under the study is one of the producers of machine parts used in different industrial sectors in Poland. In order to achieve the aim of the paper, the following operational objectives have been formulated: (1) to discuss the concepts of human resources management; (2) to identify the strategic reorientation mainly focused on the area of employment in the manufacturing company; (3) to assess the implementation of the changes in the HR strategy of the manufacturing company. The analysis is based on detailed interviews with the top management as well as the source materials collected from the manufacturing company.
