Over the past decade, educators have explored the application of multiple-intelligences theory in academics. As educators structure their classrooms to create learning environments that encourage positive behavior and good citizenship in the world outside the classroom, why not infuse multiple-intelligences approaches into the development of the classroom community and its governance as well? This article focuses on the application of multiple-intelligences theory to the classroom social community at the middle school level.
