This paper presents a possible and reasonable power management solution of a skyscraper office building. The base idea is to save a part of the consumed electrical energy in the building with an integrated digital power management system. A centralised electrical energy system can solve redundant consumption problems like forgeted light sources, ventilators and other consumers. We offer to introducing a home automation system which contains digitaly controllable wallswitches distributed in every room and floor and additional digital power meters. Ali the Communications between the devices and the host computer are solved trough the 220V-power line. In this way the hőst computer (runs an adequate software) can supervising the whole energy system in the building. Monitoring the distibuted power system, reading the power meters the supervisor program can controlling the connected devices to reduce the power consumption in the building.
Ripple control is one of the most estabilished, proven and widely-used technique for efficient load management and electrical network control. It uses the existing ditribution network as a Communications
