ABSTRACTSturge Weber and Krabbe syndrome or Sturge Weber Syndrome (SWS) is a rare and sporadic disease. It associates with a variety of degrees a flat facial skin angioma in the V1 territory of the trigeminal, a pial angioma and a choroidal angioma all in the one side. The neurological involvement of epileptic seizures in fact all the gravity. The authors report two cases of angiomas plane of the face. The first case presents a complete association of the 3 signs in a 5 year old child. The second case presents an association of angioma and choroidal involvement without cerebral damage to imaging in a 25-year-old adult. They thus highlight the interest of imaging examinations in particular MRI in the diagnosis through the classification and follow-up of this pathology.

BackgroundDermatofibrosarcoma protuberans is a rare tumor, representing about 0.1% of skin malignant tumors. It is characterized by local aggressiveness with significant potential for recurrence. Although metastasis is rare, it does occur. We report a case of a Burkinabe woman with dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans.Case presentationA 27-year-old Burkinabe woman consulted our institution for a recurrent scalp nodule that had been evolving for 13 years. At clinical examination, she was in good condition with a dry cough. An atrophic scarring alopecic plaque of 15-cm diameter in the right parietal region of the scalp, topped by an erythematous firm nodule measuring 3 × 2 × 2 cm, was noted, as well as a mobile nodule located in the axillary tail of the right breast. Cerebral computed tomodensitometry had not objectified the reach of the vault or the brain. A thoracic scan revealed four intrathoracic tissue masses straight to pleural touch. There were no evolutionary lesions in the abdominopelvic region. Histopathologic examination of the biopsy of the scalp nodule showed a proliferation of fibrous background, with fusiform cells carrying a storiform appearance. These cells had dark, elongated nuclei and showed some mitosis without atypia. The cells expressed CD34 intensely and diffusely. The test results were negative for PS100 and smooth muscle actin. The breast nodule showed the same profile as the scalp nodule.ConclusionsWe concluded on the diagnosis of scalp dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans with breast metastasis and probable pleuropulmonary metastasis.
Introduction: Stroke is defined as a sudden onset focal neurological deficit of presumed vascular origin. Although it is essentially adult and elderly condition, stroke can occur in children. Their diagnosis essentially radiological is based on two main imaging modalities namely Computed Tomography (CT) and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Our study aimed to study radiological features of stroke in children with an etiologic approach in three health facilities of Ouagadougou. Material and Method: We conducted a retrospective study with descriptive focus during 11-year period from January 1 st , 2006 to September 1 st , 2017 among children aged between 02 months and 16 years who underwent brain CT scan and/or MRI; in whom diagnosis of stroke had been established in radiology department of Yalgado Ouedraogo Teaching Hospital (CHU-YO), Schiphra Methodist Medical Center (CM Schipphra) and Saint Camille Hospital of Ouagadougou (HOSCO). Results: 40 cases of pediatric stroke were collected including 23 at HOSCO, 15 at CHU-YO and 03 at CM Schipphra. Mean age was 6.45 years, with extremes of 2 months and 192 months. Unilateral contralateral motor weakness was the most common clinical presentation (32.5%) followed by seizures (17.5%). Ischemic stroke dominated in 82.5% of cases. Sino-venous thrombosis was rare and suspected in only one case. Sylvian artery was mostly affected in ischemic stroke for 56.25% of patients. The main etiologic factors found were hematologic (67.50%) then infectious factors (25%). Sickle cell disease was always incriminated in hematologic factor.
