Electric vehicles are not just an alternative means of transportation, it is saving our lives. To solve the climatic crisis, we need to make the vehicles on our road as clean as possible. The smaller carbon footprint compared to gasoline-powered cars is the biggest asset against rising global temperature. In the thought process to revolutionize transportation, the Indi-wheel represents a new technology in the commuting industry. With the concept of “Empty beneath the bonnet”, an Indi-wheel is a conventional wheel housing an in-wheel motor, in-wheel suspension system, disc brake and steering system. Functions of all the components are controlled by an electrical system. Implementation of technology of Indi-wheel opens up gateway to better handling, performance, safety, ergonomics and drive comfort of an electric automobile/vehicle compared to a conventional vehicle technology.
