Smartphone addiction has negative consequences on adolescents. The main developmental task of adolescence is the formation of ego-identity. Little is awareness of the role of smartphone addiction in ego-identity during adolescence. The study intends to examine the relationship between smartphone addiction and dimensions of identity development. For this purpose, the effects of smartphone addiction on identity dimensions were analysed using path analysis. The sample consisted of 403 high school students aged between 13 and 18 years. The Dimensions of Identity Development Scale and Smartphone Addiction Scale Short Form were used as data gathering instruments. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that smartphone addiction negatively predicted identification commitment, commitment making and exploration breadth from the dimensions of identity development. In addition, it was found that smartphone addiction positively predicted ruminative identity exploration. With the model presented in this study, the connection between smartphone addiction and identity development was determined and it was concluded that adolescents' smartphone addiction plays an important role in identity development. The results obtained were discussed within the framework of the literature. Suggestions were made to researchers and practitioners.
Bu araştırma lise öğrencilerinin okul tükenmişlik düzeyi ve bu tükenmişliğin nedenleri ve sonuçlarına ilişkin öğrenci görüşlerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu araştırma, nicel ve nitel araştırma yöntemlerinin birlikte kullanıldığı karma yöntem çerçevesinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada açıklayıcı sıralı desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel araştırma grubu, 323 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Nitel araştırma grubu, 12 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanin nicel verilerini toplamak için ‘‘Ortaöğretim Okul Tükenmişliği Ölçeği’’ kullanılmıştır. Nitel veri toplamak için araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Nicel verlerin analizi için parametrik testlerden T testi ve Tek Yönlü Varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Nitel verilerin analizi içerik analizi ile yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda ödev yapmaktan tükenme ve okulda yetesizlik boyutlarında cinsiyete göre anlamlı farlılık bulunmuştur. Okula ilgi kaybı, aileden kaynaklı tükenmişlik, öğretmen tutumundan bunalma ve sıkılma ve okulda yetersizlik boyutları sınıfa göre anlamlı olarak farklılaştığı bulunmuştur. Ayrıca okul tükenmişliğinin nedenleri arasında derslerden, aileden, öğretmenden, yetersizlikten, ödevlerden, dinlenememe ve eğlenememeden kaynaklı nedenler yer almaktadır. Okul tükenmişliğinin sonuçları arasında akademik, aile ilişkisine yönelik, ruh sağlığına ilişkin ve öğretmen-öğrenci ilişkisine dair sonuçlar yer almaktadır. Elde edilen sonuçlar alanyazın çerçevesinde tartışılmıştır
This research, it is aimed to examine the types of cyberbullying and the ways to cope with cyberbullying by meta-synthesis method. In order to reach the studies to be examined within the framework of this purpose, the keywords "cyber bullying", "virtual bullying", "technology bullying", "internet bullying" were searched from TUBITAK, ULAKBIM, National Thesis Center and Google Scholar databases. After the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 10 researches suitable for the research questions were included in this study. Stages of meta-synthesis are implemented. As a result of the analysis, themes and sub-themes related to cyberbullying types and methods of coping with cyberbullying were reached. Their themes related to the types of cyberbullying are cyber harassment, dissemination, cyberstalking, exclusion, cheating, false identity, cyberlynching, defamation and trolling. Themes for coping with cyberbullying include safe internet, legal ways, support resources, education, individual resources, and unhealthy strategies. The obtained results were discussed within the framework of the literature and suggestions were made.
