Astragalus bartinense is described as a new species from Bartın Province
in Northern Anatolia, Turkey. The new species is close to A. depressus L. and A. froedinii Murb., but distinctly differs from A. froedinii in having hairy fruit, long stipules (10–12 mm) and peduncle (10–25 mm). It
also differs from A. depressus in having long stipules and a stipitate and glabrous ovary. Taxonomic descriptions, micromorphology of pollen and seed and geographical distribution are presented.
A new fern of Polystichum (Dryopteridaceae), P. asia-minoris, is described and illustrated from Horma Canyon in the borders of Küre Mountains National Park in Kastamonu Province located in the north of Turkey. Polystichum asia-minoris is distinguishable from the morphologically similar P. obliquum by having pinnae abaxially densely covered with broad-type microscales. It is not certain to which lineage the new species closely allied. The new species has extremely narrow distribution and is classified as Critically Endangered (CR) following IUCN Red List Criteria.
Knautia arvensis (L.) Coult. (Caprifoliaceae), collected from Küre Mountains National Park (Kastamonu Section), is reported for the first time for the flora of Turkey. A brief description of the plant along with photographs and distribution map is given. Additionally, its taxonomic relationship with other closely allied taxa are examined and discussed. An identification key to the species of genus Knautia in Turkey is provided.
