ADCO's Business Plan demands a high number of wells to be delivered in development Fields for better reservoir sweeping efficiency such as: Infill drilling, injector's patterns and maintenance work-over operations in the end of each year, that result in increase of 50% of rigs fleet to meet the DWS (Drilling work over schedule) requirements in the next 5 years because the expansion in production will be from 1.4 MM bpd to 1.8 MM bpd. The rig move is an important component in the DWS as the average rig move between the wells is 4.6 days which in total 110 days and that is our driver to minimize the time consumed in rig move and gain more days for BP This Presentation will develop a study case for rig move optimization in BAB and ASAB Fields. In general two possible operation to move rigs are followed in our company: Mast-Up when the road allow us to do that, or conventional movement Mast-Down, if there are any obstacle in the way, like power lines, conductor lines or limited spaces (these movement requires additional time for laying down and rigging up the mast).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
