Business Incubator is one of PPSD's (Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat) sub-units that supports their own economy independency. PPSD have existed as an important part of education, social and especially economic institution for Muslim community in East Java. Each year, Muslim intellectuals graduate from PPDS as Santri graduates, and mostly work, not only as religion teachers, but also as entrepreneurs, back in their hometown. The phenomenon of Santri Entrepreneurs appears to be the main inspiration for Business Incubator foundation. The researcher subsequently observes such phenomenon, also known as Santri anti-poverty agent, by using Action Research method as a base of observation for data collecting, analysis and synthesis process. The aim is to describe innovative methods of PPSD's Business Incubator in generating entrepreneurs along with pesantren ecosystem where this research was conducted. The research findings are the description of knowledge management and recommendation for developing entrepreneurship within incubator related to PPSD policy.

Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat (PPSD) is one of the Indonesian pesantrens that has the vision of building economy independence. PPSD has existed as an important part of education, religion, social and economic institution for Muslim community in East Java Indonesia. PPSD graduates were many intellectual Muslims that are also known as graduate Santri that mostly take a role not only as a religion teacher but also become as an entrepreneur. Researchers then observe these graduate sentries that are also known as anti-poverty agent. Selected method is Participant ActionResearch as the base of observation for knowledge collecting. The aim is to design innovative methods in order to form entrepreneurs within pesantren ecosystem, particularly in Pesantren Business Incubator where all these researches would be conducted. Research result are description of knowledge management for antipoverty entrepreneur and recommendation for developing entrepreneurship within incubator related to PPSD policy. Hopefully, this well-designed entrepreneurship from Pesantren Business Incubator's Program would give significant contribution to regional economy and Indonesia's business innovation.

Fishermen in Indonesia have limited access to financial assistant from banks because they do not meet criteria set by the bank. One institution that could be able to provide access and solve this problem is sharia micro-finance institution (SMFI). This study aims for identifying fishermen needs on SMFI financing products and proposing the most suitable financing design which can be applied through SMFI. The study uses qualitative approach by adopting phenomenology technique and holding a focus group discussion (FGD) to acquire the intended design. The study results showed that in general, fishermen of Palabuhan Ratu need financing product from SMFI like consumptive financing for living or family needs and productive financing that can be used to support the sustainability of their business such as purchasing equipment, boats, fishing tools and so on. The proposed design which formulated by this study incorporates double-approaches financing design; firstly, optimizing SMFI’s role as Baitul mall (house of fund) through two Islamic contracts model i.e. Qard or Qardhul Hasan and Temporary Waqf; secondly, both optimizing SMFI as Baitut Tamwil (house of financing) through three financing products that is Parallel Istishna (PI), Syirkah Mudharaba Mutlaqa (SMM) and Ijarah Muntahia Bit Tamlik (IMBT).

Islamic Boarding School Abdussalam is located in rural areas of West Kalimantan and has agriculture and plantation sectors. The purpose of this study is to find out how the agricultural management system implemented by Islamic Boarding School. This research uses qualitative approach with phenomenology analysis technique. The results show that agricultural and plantation conditions in Islamic Boarding School Abdussalam have been empowered and have given economic independence to Islamic Boarding School although only managed by traditional system, from both sectors of agriculture sector have bigger result than plantation sector. The proposed agriculture and plantation management design resulting from this research is modern management based on solving the main problems faced by both sectors, such as weakness of governance system, lack of profersional human resources, limited infrastructure and capital, through cooperation with some related institutions such as government, universities, and companies that are directly related to the agricultural and plantation sectors in Islamic Boarding School Abdussalam. Originality of research, such a study has never been done before because in this study described the management system and level of empowerment of agriculture and plantation Islamic Boarding School Abdussalam.Keywords: Islamic Boarding School Abdussalam, Empowerment, Agriculture and Plantation
