RFID middleware plays an important role in Enterprise Applications such as integrating heterogeneous devices, processing data and events, providing uniform application interface and so on. However, some problems RFID middleware developers have to face are how to specify the quality of service for high level applications, how to transmit the RFID data efficiently, and how to consist the abilities of device with the upper level requirements. To solve these problems, we put forward a QoS framework for RFID middleware including ALE Extension for QoS specification, efficient algorithms for data transmission, and negotiation mechanism between device and upper level requirement. A QoS component for SJTU RFID middleware was developed on this framework with OSGI technology.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
