By analytical and finite element analysis method, this paper analyzes the various factors on the impact of EDM surface roughness. Put forward in the process of EDM according to the coarse, medium and fine, step by step to change the order of the processing conditions, and in turn increase the momentum of the swinging electrode EDM mirror machining method. Analysis and calculate the feeding and machining allowance of each process conditions. Experiments show that in the mixed powder fluid, not replace the electrodes and processed work pieces of 45 # steel, surface roughness of work piece reached Ra0.02μm.
The machining parameter is very important for quality control in electrical discharge machining (EDM). This paper analysis the pit size in different electric parameter based on ANSYS, and then revises the simulation results according to the experiment test data. Taking advantage of numerical fitting methods to determine the relationship between electric parameters and machining quality. The experiments show the ratio of prediction to test for Vm , Ra , θ is 120.58%,108.18%,78.47% separately. The precision is higher and it can meet the need of the actual processing.
