Synthesis and Polymerization Behavior of Various Substituted Indenyl Titanium Complexes (I) as Catalysts for SyndiotacticPolystyrene.-All title compounds (I) yield, in the presence of the cocatalyst methylaluminoxane, extremely pure syndiotactic polystyrene with conversion rates of ≥ 95%. The catalytic properties are compared with the data obtained from the (η5-indenyl) trichlorotitanium-methylaluminoxane system. The catalytic activity is enhanced by less bulky and more electron-releasing substituents of the indenyl ligand. -(KIM, Y.; KOO, B. H.; DO, Y.; J.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
