Zoduriorz rubidurn SIMOK, 1914 is recorded to occur widely distributed in the area of Berlin. The available findings are compiled. Morphological characteristics of the species are depicted. The 550 specimens collected by PLATEN and us have been found mainly in dry ruderal places sparsely covered by plants. Adult animals are detectable from April up to September, with a main activity period of males in June and in July.
Studies have been started to obtain knowledge of the composition of spider communities in Berlin. An interesting part of the remaining natural habitats in the town is the Tierpark Berlin-Friedrichsfelde.There are areas staying more or less undisturbed for years. In the present paper preliminary data are introduced on the spiders of typical habitats on the fields of the Tierpark. The main habitats are -a dry and sandy plain sparsely covered by Corynephorus canescens. In places grow Oenothera biennis -an elevated area (as compared to the forementioned plain) tightly covered by Solidago gigantea,
