S y n t h e s i s o f P o l y s u b s t i t u t e d P y r r o l e sAbstract: The three-component reactions of phenacyl bromide or its derivatives, amine, and dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylate in the presence of iron(III) chloride as a catalyst at room temperature afforded polysubstituted pyrroles in high yields.

Treatment of N-tosyl aldimines with dialkyl trimethylsilyl phosphites at 0 degrees C in the presence of iodine as a catalyst afforded the corresponding sulfonamide phosphonates in excellent yields within 1.5 to 2.5 h.
