Conductimetric and pararosaniline method 24-h average SO2 determinations from routine monitoring in southern California are analyzed to estimate method uncertainties. Random measurement errors range to 0.02 and 0.006 ppm for the two methods, respectively. Total conductimetric method uncertainties range to 0.06 ppm. Hence, this method is not satisfactory for determining compliance with very low ambient air quality standards.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
