With the rapid development of wind power and photovoltaic energy, renewable energy installation in three-north has exceeded 20%, in some areas, renewable energy installation has become the second largest power source exceeding hydro-power. Renewable energy power curtailment has become normal state, it is on urgent need to carry out accommodated capacity analysis, and put forward corresponding measures on this basis, so as to maintain the sustainable development of renewable energy. This paper carries out study on accommodation capacity of renewable energy in local power grid based on production simulation and its improving measures. Based on the analysis of problems and challenges faced by accommodation of local power grid, by reference to latest research developments on renewable energy accommodation overseas, objective function and boundary conditions are set up, accommodation analysis model is established based on production simulation, take renewable energy accommodation capacity in three-north as a research example, conduct sensitivity analysis combining influence factor, aim at stimulating the flexibility of the system, analyze and access the feasibility and the result of the measured put forward, and finally put forward comprehensive solution to renewable energy accommodation capacity of the system.
