Seagrass monitoring at Perezoso, Cahuita, Costa Rica (CARICOMP site). The seagrass of Perezoso (Cahuita National Park, Caribbean coast of Costa Rica) was monitored using the CARICOMP protocol. Productivity (2.7±1.15 g/m 2 /d; n=74) was intermediate, compared to other Caribbean sites. Total biomass was intermediate to high (750-1500 g/m 2) at most CARICOMP sites (Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela) including Costa Rica (822.8±391.84 g/m 2 ; n=32). Turnover rates were high (5.5±1.36 %; n=74) compared to what was found in March and August at other sites. Shoot densities average 725 shoots/m 2 , in the Caribbean region, while in Costa Rica the value was higher (1184±335.5 shoots/m 2). Average leaf length and width in the entire region were 14.4 cm and 10.6 mm, respectively, similar to what we found, but leaf area index average 3.4 m 2 m-2 , higher than what was found in Costa Rica (0.92 m 2 m-2). At Cahuita, seagrass productivity was significantly lower in March 2005 compared with the previous six years, and biomass has decreased with time. Seagrass productivity and biomass are being affected by the maximum temperatures, which increased by almost 10 °C from 1999 to 2005, and show a high negative correlation. Turnover rate and temperature were not correlated. Recreational boating, swimming and nutrient loading from deforested lands in the coast, the upstream rivers and local pollution are potential sources of impact to the seagrass beds at Cahuita.

RESUMOO aumento da esperança de vida, do número de idosos e do número de idosos dependentes (ID's), requer a articulação de diversos cuidados formais e informais. Reconhece-se o papel dos cuidadores informais (CI's) e, também, no âmbito da saúde, a importância da visitação domiciliária. Nesta, geralmente, a atenção da equipa centra-se no idoso dependente (ID), relegando para segundo plano o cuidador informal. Este, pela responsabilidade assumida, pode padecer de uma sobrecarga com efeitos nefastos em diferentes dimensões da sua vida. Para perceber quais os fatores que mais influenciam a sobrecarga dos CI's, realizou-se um estudo quantitativo, no concelho de Belmonte, que envolveu uma amostra de CI's e ID's. O instrumento de colheita de dados, de administração indireta, aplicado entre 2012 e 2013, incluía: Questionários Gerais, Escala de Pfeiffer Short Portable Mental Status Questionary; Índice de Barthel e Escala de Zarit. Analisaram-se e identificaram-se as características contextuais, a situação clínica do CI e a sua perceção da qualidade de vida face à sobrecarga. A maioria dos CI´s apresenta níveis de sobrecarga elevados, principalmente os que são mais velhos, cônjuges, com baixa formação, com patologias e que consideram ter pior qualidade de vida que as pessoas da mesma idade e género.Palavras-chave: Cuidadores informais, idosos dependentes, sobrecarga ABSTRACTThe increase in life expectancy, the number of elderly and the number of dependent elderly (DE's), requires the coordination of various formal and informal care. It recognizes the role of informal caregivers (IC's) and, in health, the importance of home visitation. Generally, the attention of the homevisitation team focuses on the dependent elderly (DE), relegating to the background the informal caregiver (IC). The responsibility assumed by IC can bring an overload with losses in different dimensions of his life. This study intend to perceive which factors most influence the burden of IC's. A quantitative study was conducted in county of Belmonte based on a sample of IC's and DE's. The data collection instrument was indirect administration, applied between 2012 and 2013, and it contained: General Questionnaires, Scale Portable Mental Status Pfeiffer Questionnaire, Barthel Index and Burden Interview of Zarit. The contextual characteristic, the clinical condition of the IC and his perception of quality of life due to the overload were analyzed and identified. The majority of IC's of the sample has high levels of burden, mainly IC's older, married/spouse, low level of education, with pathologies and who reported worse quality of life conditions. Monitoring of the mangrove forest at Gandoca, Costa Rica (CARICOMP site). The mangrove forest at Gandoca, Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Gandoca-Manzanillo, Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, has been monitored since 1999, following the CARICOMP protocol. The dominant species was the red mangrove, Rhizophora mangle. The peak of productivity and flowering was in July. The mangrove productivity decline from 2001 to 2004 while the temperature rised. Biomass (14 kg/m 2 ) and density (9 trees/10 m 2 ) in Gandoca were relatively low compared to other CARICOMP sites, while productivity in July in Costa Rica (4 g/m 2 /day) was intermediate, similar to most CARICOMP sites. O presente artigo tem como objetivo verificar a utilização das audiências telepresenciais no período de pandemia. Questionam-se quais os benefícios e a desvantagens da realização da justiça por meio das audiências telepresenciais. Assim, será demonstrada a evolução deste sistema, além de discutir pontos nevrálgicos da questão. O método de pesquisa utilizado é o dedutivo e a pesquisa se desenvolve por meio de consultas aprofundadas a doutrinas nacionais e internacionais, leis e jurisprudência.
