Here, abilities of CNT, CNT-CoO and CNT-TiO 2 as anodes in LIB and NIB are investigated. Results stated that the top carbon atom in CNT is more stable site to attach the CoO and TiO 2 on CNT surface. The ΔG and V cell of Li and Na on CNT and CNT-CoO and CNT-TiO 2 surfaces are calculated. It can be concluded that the V cell and capacity values of LIBs are higher than NIBs. Results indicated that the attached metal oxide/dioxide (CoO and TiO 2 ) to CNT can improve the V cell and capacity of LIB and NIB, efficiently. Finally, results presented that the CNT-TiO 2 is proposed as new anodes material in batteries.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
