The results show that considering the main categories no dimension is equally important for the participating professional groups. This can result in goal conflicts. Additionally, the ad hoc teams make it impossible for team building to occur, making it difficult for the professional groups to adapt to each other and the individual goals. This presents a high potential for conflict. The difference in the perception of the importance of employee satisfaction is a crucial factor for emerging conflicts in the OR, as employee satisfaction correlates with productivity and patient satisfaction. Knowing and communicating the different goals is a first step for optimizing the OR management system.
Due date reliability is a critical competitive factor for manufacturing companies and hence a central objective in logistics. Nonetheless, many businesses are unable to meet their own schedule reliability standards. The reasons for the insufficient achievement of logistical targets are inherent in the diverse and interdependent influential factors that affect schedule reliability. However, logistical models enable to determine these interdependencies. This paper introduces the operating curves of output lateness of a single workstation for various sequencing methods. The parameter studies comprise the preliminary work necessary to provide a complete, model-based description of production schedule deviations.
Kurzfassung
Die logistische Leistungsfähigkeit einer Montage ist von den Versorgungsprozessen abhängig. Dieser Beitrag stellt einen Modellierungsansatz vor, der bei der quantitativen Beschreibung von logistischen Ursache-Wirkungs-Beziehungen von Einfluss- und Zielgrößen innerhalb der Montage unterstützt. Dadurch kann zum Beispiel der Einfluss einer pünktlicheren Bereitstellung von Komponenten bemessen werden. Die Auswirkung auf den Montageprozess wird somit anhand von logistischen Zielgrößen berechnet.*)
Manufacturing enterprises are currently competing in an environment characterised by shortening product life cycles, an increasing diversity of variants, and an ever-evolving globalisation. The resulting dynamism leads to steadily increasing expectations regarding the logistical performance which have to be met by enterprises in order to remain successful in the market. In this context, schedule reliability is of crucial importance. At the same time, diversity and complexity of value-added processes obscure the interdependency of logistical objectives and the possibilities of influencing them. This is where logistical models help to still describe the correlations. Such a logistical model is developed in this paper. It contributes to calculate the lateness distribution and, thus, the schedule reliability along linear and converging material flows.
