ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to describe the level of physical activity and quality of life of bank workers. This is a quantitative and cross-sectional descriptive study of 36 bank workers of the town of Jequié. To collect the level of physical activity, it was used the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) that evaluates the practice this activity during 1 week. To evaluate the quality of life was used the WHOQOL-bref that considers 4 areas for the assessment: physical, psychological, social relationships and environment. The data were tabulated and analyzed using descriptive and simple statistics in the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21.0. Among the results, it was found that 66,7% (n=24) of bank workers were classified as physically inactive. Regarding the evaluation of the Quality of Life, it was observed that the bank workers showed a better perception of Quality of Life in the physical domain (82,1) and worst perception in environment domain (59,3). It is concluded that based on this study it was possible the understanding about de physical activity level in which there was a predominance of physically inactive workers and it can influence their quality of life in the physical and environment domains.
The development and application of new molecular tools has shown the real complexity involved in Mycobacterium Tuberculosis infection. The sequencing of the complete Koch's Bacillus genome can reveal information about the true extent of the point mutations that confer resistance to treatment to these bacteria. Complete genome sequencing techniques and their availability in public databases, have been responsible for the exponential growth of computational tools to extract information about important features encoded in the genomes of Mycobacterium complex species. This is a literature review study, from scientific research platforms, with the aim of discussing how computational tools used for analysis of the complete genome sequencing of M. tuberculosis can identify the genetic relationship between strain mutations and antimicrobial resistance. Whole genome sequencing is considered a surveillance marker of transmission and drug resistance, as well as a strong predictor of the emergence of possible resistance mechanisms for first- and second-line drugs used in the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis.
Method: this is a quantitative, ecological and descriptive study based on secondary data from the Hospital Information System. The following variables were studied: hospitalizations, deaths, hospital costs, average hospitalization value and average hospital stay, analyzed using simple descriptive statistics. Results: 47,882 hospitalizations and 6,919 deaths from chronic renal failure were registered in the Brazilian Northeast. In addition, hospital costs for the disease were higher than R$ 79 million, with an average hospitalization value of R$1,816.11 and an average length of stay of 10.4 days in the hospital unit. Conclusion: it can be concluded that morbidity due to chronic renal failure is still a serious public health problem, directly affecting the increase and ascendancy of hospital costs. It is warned that this study reveals data capable of arousing the self-care of the population and strengthening the actions of primary care in the prevention and control of the disease and its etiological factors, in order to reduce hospitalizations and reduce burdens.
