Aorto-bifemoral bypass using a total laparoscopic approach can be performed safely. As all new techniques, a learning curve is observed. This new technique should be evaluated in a larger randomised trial to assess its clinical value in comparison to conventional surgery.
We suggest that VATS should be considered the treatment of choice for spontaneous chylothorax and could be indicated earlier in postoperation chylothorax.
Since a few years, vascular surgeons are becoming interested in laparoscopic vascular techniques. After initial experience with the hand-assisted laparoscopic technique, we now adopt the totally laparoscopic approach for aortoiliac surgery. Our first case with this second technique is presented.
