Abstract.Recently Network Mobility(NEMO) is being concerned as new mobility issue. Lots of NEMO issues are already being touched in IETF NEMO WG but the solution is still premature especially to the Route Optimization (RO). NEMO has several problem spaces that need RO such as nested tunnels problem. Unfortunately, there is no solution that can be universally applied as one for all that results in supporting the coherent network mobility. In this paper, we propose a unified route optimization scheme that can solve several types of RO problem by using Path Control Header (PCH). In our scheme, Home Agent (HA) does piggyback the PCH on the packet which is reversely forwarded from Mobile Router (MR). That enables any PCH-aware routing facility on the route to make a RO tunnel with MR using the Care-of address of MR contained in the PCH. By applying to some already known NEMO RO problems, we show that our scheme can incrementally optimize the routes via default HA-MR tunnel through the simple PCH interpretation.
Abstract. Since simple linear regression theory was established at the beginning of the 1900s, it has been used in a variety of fields. Unfortunately, it cannot be used directly for calibration. In practical calibrations, the observed measurements (the inputs) are subject to errors, and hence they vary, thus violating the assumption that the inputs are fixed. Therefore, in the case of calibration, the regression line fitted using the method of least squares is not consistent with the statistical properties of simple linear regression as already established based on this assumption. To resolve this problem, "classical regression" and "inverse regression" have been proposed. However, they do not completely resolve the problem. As a fundamental solution, we introduce "reversed inverse regression" along with a new methodology for deriving its statistical properties. In this study, the statistical properties of this regression are derived using the "error propagation rule" and the "method of simultaneous error equations" and are compared with those of the existing regression approaches. The accuracy of the statistical properties thus derived is investigated in a simulation study. We conclude that the newly proposed regression and methodology constitute the complete regression approach for univariate linear calibrations. Keywords: bias / classical regression / error propagation / mean-data-point-based variance / populationregression-line-based variance / reversed inverse regression / simultaneous error equations / Taylor approximation
The Control Hold mode from cdma2000 Ix systems has been adapted to the IxEV-D V(Evo1ution Data and Voice) systems because it has a lot of benefits such as power saving, reducing of overload and channel interferences, etc. However IxEV-DV system does not fully capture the bene$ts @om Control Hold mode, because the MS has to do continuous monitoring the F-PDCCH indicating whether the BS sends packet data or not. That is, the MS has to do monitoring the F-PDCCH (Forward Packet Data Control Channel) continuously to capture the MAC-ID while in Control Hold mod like as an operation in Active mode. This continuous monitoring of the F-PDCCH causes higher power consumption and gives an overload to the decoder block at the MS side. In this papel; to resolve these problems, we propose a new channel, F-WUCH (Forward Wake-Up Channel), to maximize the power saving of the MS, to minimize the interferences and to reduce the overhead from the continuous monitoring of the F-PDCCH in the Control Hold Mode.
Abstract-One of main issues in 1xEV-DV systems is how to support and satisfy various QoS requirements of data services and voice service simultaneously. Another main issue in 1xEV-DV systems is how to increase throughput of data services without sacrificing voice service's QoS requirements. The main motivation for our proposed architecture, MQC (Multiple Quality Control), is to use per-stream buffers in physical layer and to fully utilize air resource. The problem of existing architecture is that PDUs from only one stream can be transmitted and those PDUs may not fill out the allocated time slots. In contrast to existing architecture, MQC can multiplex several streams into one PLP(Physical Layer Packet) because MQC utilizes per-service buffers in physical layer. We also introduce a multiplexing scheme that minimizes queueing delays of realtime traffic and maximizes cell throughputs.
