Mitsubishi Electric corporation, Kita Itami Works ABS"RACT Semiconductor-applied Power Electronics ( SPE 1, which is divided into two; micro-power and macro-power electroiiics, i s defined as a systems technology which i s i n t e r s t i t i a l to a l l four major disciplines of electrical engineering; power / energy systems engineering, solid-state electronic devices and circuit system engineering, analog digital control and instrumentation systems theory and their applied engineering, and computer hardware & software engineering. SPE Mainly deals with Multi-diverse application-oriented systems engineering and theory on analysis and design of electronics for switched-mode conversion & conditioning circuits and control processing circuits of large amounts of electrical power in the fields of u t i l i t y grid-connected power systems and new energy utilization and storage systems, and consumer and high-tech power systems. This paper describes the present status and some advanced feasibilities of high-frequency (HF) swi tched-mode power conversion & conditioning circuits and control systems in SPE applications. The future trends and new conceptional prospects in next generation SPE are discussed fron a practical systems engineering point of view.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
