A novel printed ultra-wideband (UWB) Y-shaped antenna is presented in this article. Unlike the conventional Y-shaped antennas, the proposed antenna had a half of stacked Y-shaped antenna dipole that was printed on each side of a microwave substrate respectively. The proposed antenna, which was fed by a 50Ω microstrip line, generates the desired ultra-wideband operation. Prototype designed for UWB operations in 3.1~10.6 GHz had been constructed and tested. The experimental results also indicate that reasonable gains through the entire operating band were observed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
