Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are still an issue that is interesting to study because it is recognized that small businesses have a major role in employment and contribution to the gross domestic product. Previous research shows that the growth of SMEs is determined by the owner/manager characteristics (personal approach), and how the strategy is taken (managerial approach). This study empirically tested the three determinants of growth of small businesses, namely 1) the individual factors 2) organizational factors, and 3) environment factors. The study was conducted in SMEs assisted in the district of Malang, using a sample of 52 owners/managers of SMEs, which are taken by purposive sampling, analysis techniques using Path Analysis. The results showed that individual factors directly affects the growth of the business, as well as an indirect effect through organizational factors. So the individual factors are a determinant of the growth of SMEs, due to individual factors which reflected the business experience and the motivation of the owners/managers will be able to manage the organization becomes more effective so as to compete, and the effects are on the achievement of business growth. Environmental factors provide the greatest impact in achieving the growth of SMEs, it means the ability of owner/managers to produce competitive products, leverage technology, and diversity of products will determine the growth of SMEs.
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk (1) mengetahui pengaruh dimensi pelayanan terhadap tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa di Universitas Kanjuruhan Malang, (2) mengetahui pengaruh dimensi fasilitas terhadap tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa di Universitas Kanjuruhan Malang, (3) mengetahui pengaruh dimensi pelayanan dan dimensi fasilitas terhadap tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa di Universitas Kanjuruhan Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian penjelasan (explanatory research), untuk menguji hipotesis antar variabel dan berpusat pada penjelasan hubunganhubungan antar variabel; hubungan tersebut adalah interdependency, yaitu bertujuan mendeteksi ketergantungan antar satu variabel dengan variabel lainnya. Peneliti mengambil sampel sebesar 360 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik proportional stratified random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan studi pustaka. Variabel dalam penelitian ini ada 3 (tiga) yaitu demensi pelayanan, dimensi fasilitas, dan kepuasan mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif dan analisis regresi berganda. Temuan penelitian ini adalah variabel dimensi kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa, variabel dimensi fasilitas berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa, dan variabel kualitas pelayanan dan fasilitas secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa. This study aimed to analyze the linking of Islamic work ethos to the performance of employees through organizational commitment in a city government. The types of research include explanatory research, by developing survey methods, using questionnaires with city government employees as the respondents. The population of this study are all civil servants who are Muslims and enter the work unit. From the number of employees are taken samples with Slovin formula and 7% alpha. Then, it obtained 178 people as the research samples by using proportional random sampling technique. The data analysis techniques were using descriptive analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM). The results prove that the commitment of the organization is reflected by the commitment of sustainability, with the ethos of communication among employees and superiors. Organizational commitment plays a strategic role in mediating the work ethos of Islam on the performance of employees that is reflected in their communicative nature by building the cooperation in harmony.
