Conflict of interest: LHV holds equity in Affinia Therapeutics and Akous and serves on the Board of Directors of Affinia Therapeutics. He is an inventor of Anc80L65 capsid (patent WO2015054653A2) technology licensed to Affinia, Akouos, and other biopharmaceutical companies from which he may receive royalties. LHV is compensated for his scientific advisory position with Affinia and Akouos. LHV is a member of the scientific advisory board of Akouos, consults for Affinia and Novartis, receives research support from Novartis, and serves on the board of directors of the nonprofit organizations Addgene and Odylia. LHV's interests were reviewed and managed by Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Mass General Brigham in accordance with their conflict-ofinterest policies.
