To provide accurate, real time car park space information, based on the vortex detection principle. a novel berth detector is designed for the Parking Guidance Systein, The berth-detecting nlgoritlim is proposed according to the complicated practical car park ;situation via threshold method. The median filter technology is adopted in this algorithm to cliiiiinate transient-upset signal. The experimental results slionl that the vortex berth detector has strong robustness under rapid time-varying temperature conditionl aid the dgorithm is efficient and reliable.Keyvords: berth detector vortex detection car park threshold method
