AbstractIntroduction: Epidemiological studies have demonstrated a high prevalence of periapical lesion in different countries, stating that it is a health problem that affects great part of the world population. Aim: The aim of this randomized clinical study was to conduct a comparative evaluation after endodontic treatment of permanent teeth with chronic periapical lesion completed in a single session or in two sessions with 14-day calcium hydroxide interappointment intracanal medication, using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT).
