A study was conducted by Mound Laboratory for the Division of Wiste Management and Transportation, United States Energy Research and Development Administration, to determine which of• the •packagings currently listed in CFR 49 §173.395 a.l-5, and used by ERDA contractors, meet the Specification 7A requirements (CFR 49 §17~~350). •, Ha~ardous Materials Regulations Board Notice of Proposed Rule Making; DOT No. HM-111, Notice No. 73-7, stated that the present listing of various authorized DOT specifications in §173.394 and §173.395 (Type A containers) of ICC Tariff No. 27 would be deleted. Instead, complete reliance would be placed on the use of DOT 7A, Type A •general packaging s~ecification.

Although MRC drawings and specifications in the Appendix have been reduced or reformatted, all are controlled documents with appropriate references to their latest technical updating and editorial changes. For this reason, many specifications are preceded by a lead sheet indicating the original total number of pages and date of latest revision.
