The phase states and elementary excitation spectra of an anisotropic 2D non-Heisenberg ferromagnet are investigated. It is shown that easy-axis single-ion anisotropy has a strong effect on the formation of the quadrupole phase and on the appearance of the canted phase. The conditions for phase transitions with respect to the material constants and the magnetic field are determined. The phase diagrams of the system are constructed.
