The Silicon-Assisted Aza-(2,3)-Wittig Sigmatropic Rearrangement.-The diastereoselectivity of the aza-(2,3)-Wittig rearrangement is enhanced to afford the trans-products (XI) by judicious placement of an anion-stabilizing Tms group. An increase of steric bulk of the substituent R1 has little effect on the diastereoselection. -(ANDERSON, J. C.; SIDDONS, D. C.; SMITH, S. C.; SWARBRICK, M. E.; J.

-099The Aza-[2,3]-Wittig Sigmatropic Rearrangement of Z(C)-Alkenes. -By employing a trimethylsilyl anion stabilizing group, the aza-[2,3]-Wittig rearrangement of the alkenes (I) can be achieved. The Z-alkene rearranges highly diastereoselectively. -(ANDERSON, J. C.; DUPAU, P.; SIDDONS, D. C.; SMITH, S. C.; SWARBRICK, M. E.; Tetrahedron
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
