This report documents the discussions and conclusions of a study held in July 1977 to develop the requirements for a data analysis facility to support the experimental program in medium-energy physics at the Clinton P. Anderson Meson Physics Facility (LAMPF). I. PURPOSE OF THE STUDY AND PARTICIPANTSThis report documents the recommendations of a study group appointed to assess the current status of the data analysis facilities available for the direct support of the experimental program at the Clinton P. Anderson Meson Physics Facility (LAMPF), and as a consequence of its assessment, to recommend policies and a course of action for the future which will help make the most effective use of the resources of LAMPF and its user community.The participants in this study fall into two groups.
