because in spraying suspensions or solutions the minimum droplet size is limited by customary spraying systems. This problem might be avoided by pulse drying. A pulsing combustion of natural gas generates pressure pulses, reaching the drying chamber where the suspension is atomised. The pressure gradients of the pulses create strong stress to the droplets which results in a further atomisation. Due to this improved atomisation very fine powders are generated. The particle size distribution of the powders is close to the size distribution of the particles dispersed in the suspension. A further step for grinding can be omitted.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
