RESUMENEn este trabajo se entregan resultados preliminares del estudio del impacto de la certificación Cisco de profesores en sus alumnos en el programa Cisco Networking Academy, específicamente, en cómo el docente incrementa su nivel de exigencia en la clase después de aprobar y cumplir con las exigencias de un examen de certificación internacional y en cómo el alumno tiende a aumentar su nivel de satisfacción con el profesor certificado mediante la intención de recomendar a este a otros alumnos. El estudio se lleva a cabo mediante el análisis de bases de datos, que contienen las notas finales de todos los alumnos involucrados en el programa Cisco Networking Academy desde el comienzo del programa de certificaciones el 2011; también se cuenta con los registros de evaluación docente realizada por los alumnos durante el periodo en estudio. ABSTRACTThis paper presents preliminary results of the study on teacher's Cisco certification impact on their students in the Cisco Networking Academy Program, specifically, how the teacher increases his level of demand in the classroom after pass an international certification exam and on how the student Tends to increase their level of satisfaction with the certified teacher by intending to recommend this to other students. The study is carried out by analyzing databases, which contain the final notes of all students involved in the Cisco Networking Academy program since the beginning of the 2011 certification program. There are also records of teacher evaluation performed by the students during the period under study.
