Osteoma is a benign osteogenic slow-growing tumor. Though mandible is involved more often than the maxilla only one other case of osteoma sigmoid notch has been mentioned in the English literature till date. Cosmesis and function are the main reasons that dictate the removal of the osteomas, so we preferred to use an intra oral approach to better prevent the scar and achieve good patient acceptance.
Trigeminal neuralgia (TN) is by no means an uncommon entity presenting as typical or atypical pain syndrome with a standard treatment protocol consisting of medical and surgical therapies. The diagnosis of TN is mainly dependent on the characteristics of symptoms conveyed by the patient and the clinical presentation. Careful history taking, proper interpretation of the signs and symptoms and cranial nerve assessment are necessary for proper diagnosis. Here, we report a case of TN, treated for dental problems and then for neuralgia with only short-term relief. Subsequently, the patient underwent neuroimaging and was found to be having an uncommon space-occupying lesion in the posterior cranial fossa.

The lips are major aesthetic components of the face, which are also necessary for facial expression, speech, and eating. In oncological resections, the main goal in lip reconstruction is achieving oral competence than speech and facial expressions. Malignant lesions involving lip warrant a wide excision to ensure a disease-free margin, which usually results in large defects. Defects up to 1/3rd of lips are closed primarily. Defects measuring 1/3rd to 2/3rd of the lower lip may be closed with Karapandzic, Abbe or Estlander flaps. A 45-year-old male presented with an exophytic lesion in the lower lip involving the facial skin with bilateral level 1b cervical lymphadenopathy. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography scan showed heterogeneous irregular lesion over the lower lip with bilateral enlarged necrotic level 1b cervical lymphadenopathy. Biopsy from the lesion was suggestive of moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. Wide local excision with left modified radical neck dissection and right supraomohyoid neck dissection was done. The central lower lip defect was reconstructed with bilateral Karapandzic flap. The postoperative period was uneventful, although the patient had microstomia. The patient was advised adjuvant radiotherapy based on histopathology and was in regular follow up.

Dentigerous cysts are the most common odontogenic and developmental cysts arising in the jaws. In this article, we report a rare case of dentigerous cyst arising from an unerupted canine which had invaded a part of the maxilla in a 6-year-old child. The clinical features, radiographic presentation, and the treatment modality are described.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
