A numerical method for simulating gravitational flows in atmospheric conditions is presented. This is based on the preconditioning method, Roe’s Riemann solver, the 4th-order compact MUSCL extrapolation, and the LU-SGS scheme. The fundamental equations for governing condensate flows with homogeneous and heterogeneous nucleations are transformed to the preconditioned equations. Natural convections with and without condensation at 1g and 0g around a circular cylinder are numerically investigated.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
