When faced in a positive way, it is special, but for that to happen, it is necessary that this woman, to want to get pregnant, go through a pre-conception consultation, accompanied by a skilled health Identify adopted guidance strategies the nurse to pregnant women with HIV to reduce the risk of vertical transmission; analyze the influences of guidance provided to that pregnant women during prenatal, postpartum. We opted for the realization of an integrative review, was held search in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) in August 2015, using the keywords: Vertical transmission of infectious disease, HIV and Nursing associated with the Boolean AND operator. Results: Analyzing the articles appeared two themes: Nursing guidelines for reducing the risk of vertical transmission: the importance of nurses to reduce vertical transmission of HIV in Brazil is important, no doubt this professional develops activities relevant to public health from the instances of the grievances of the reduction policy to instances of comprehensive care to pregnant women, new mothers and mothers. Nursing orientation consequences of postpartum: health professionals, including nurses is critical to support families living with or affected by HIV. Conclusion: This research aims at the importance of professional training for nurses working in the area, as a skilled and sensitive nurse makes the advice of active listening process, generating trust between you and the woman, during consultations, one must realize a return that offered guidelines are being absorbed and practiced the same.
Introduction: Pain is a symptom that is part of the premature newborns everyday in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit due to the large number of painful procedures to which they are subjected during their stay. The nurse and the nursing staff because they are professionals responsible for the largest follow-up of neonates during their stay, play an important role in the careful observation and identification of the occurrence of signs that reflect the presence of pain. Objectives: To identify pain scales used in hospitalized newborns; evaluate the applicability of pain scales and benefits for nursing professionals. Methodology: It is an integrative review, which was carried out in search of the Virtual Health Library (BVS), in December 2017, using the keywords pain measurement, Intensive Care Unit and Neonatal Newborn. Results: Results were obtained with the number of publications in accordance with the theme. By analyzing the articles, the scales identified in the newborn pain in intensive care unit environment were NIPS, NFCS, CRIES, PIPP, COMFORT and others did not use scales. There was a predominance in the use of NIPS, since five of the nine selected articles opted for using this scale. The applicability of the pain and the benefits for nurses scales, it is necessary that professionals feel safe with the instrument used in its collection, really assessing pain systematically. The act of participating in training and updating of staff makes the nurse applied properly and uniformly to correct use of the scale. Conclusion: It is suggested that neonatal pain should be considered as the 5th sign of life, but the nurse has a fundamental role to evaluate this phenomenon through the pain assessment scales, providing comprehensive care to the newborn.
Patient safety means acting with skill, responsibility, humanization and commitment to the patient’s health, with the main focus of offering safe care, with a reduction in incidents. The objective is: To verify publications on patient safety and care shared in a multiprofessional way in the hospital environment. This study is an integrative literature review, with a qualitative and exploratory approach, which carried out research in the following health databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS); Online Scientific Electronic Library (SciELO); Medical Literature Review (MEDLINE/PUBMED). The research gathered 8 articles on the topic. Through the analysis of the results, it was observed that there is a great importance of communication and union between the members of the hospital team, especially in relation to the exchange of information, in order to prevent errors and exposures from occurring to the patient.
