This study was carried out to examine the role of self-efficacy and social networks on entrepreneurial intention among polytechnic students in Ile -Ife Osun state, Nigeria. Theory of Reasoned action was used as a theoretical framework for this study. A survey design was adopted. The data for this study was collected in 2018 via a purposive sampling technique, where 240 students (81 females and 159 males) with age range of 21-35 years (M = 23.61, SD = 2.63) were selected from one polytechnic. Inferential statistics (t-test for independent measure) was used to test the hypotheses in this study. Result showed that there was significant difference between entrepreneurial intention of polytechnic students with low self-efficacy and high self-efficacy. There was significant difference between entrepreneurial intention of polytechnic students with low social network and high social network. Therefore, to improve entrepreneurial intention among polytechnic students, psychologists should organize psycho-educational interventions aim at increasing self-efficacy and social networks of polytechnic students.Reference: Ojewumi, K.A., Fagbenro, D.A. The study investigated the predictive role of pay satisfaction and organisational politics on quality of work life. Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory was used as a theoretical framework in this study. Cross sectional survey research design was adopted. Data were collected from 429 respondents consisting of (Females = 231(53.8%), Males = 198(46.2%) (Mean age = 39.14, S.D = 12.07) via a simple random and convenience sampling techniques. Work-Related Quality of life scale (WRQLS), Pay Satisfaction Questionnaire (PSQ) and Perceived Organisational Politics Scale (POPS) were used as instrument for data collection. Data collected were analysed using Pearson moment correlation (PPMC) and Multiple Regression analysis. There was significant positive relationship between pay satisfaction and quality of work life. Positive relationship was found between organisational politics and the quality of work life. Finally, pay satisfaction and organisational politics jointly predict quality of work life. These findings have implications for putting up psychological interventions aim at improving the quality of work life of government employees.

Psychological wellbeing among local government employees has continued to be a source of concern to psychologists and concerned stakeholders in Nigeria. It is in this light that this study examined the predictive role of family dynamics, social support and resilience on psychological wellbeing among local government employees in Ibadan. A total number of two hundred and ninety-six (N=296, Male = 86, Female = 197, M=38.87, SD=9.47) constitute the respondents which were selected using purposive sampling technique. A structured questionnaire consisted of demographics and scales were used to collect data in this study. Result showed that there was significant positive relationship between resilience, social support family dynamic and psychological wellbeing. There was joint prediction of resilience, social support and family support existed on psychological wellbeing. The study therefore recommends that trained Psychologists should develop psychological intervention programs tailored toward resilience, social support and family dynamic which invariably would improve psychological wellbeing.
