Development of the internet as a source of information has penetrated many aspects of human life, which is shown in the increasingly diverse substance of news in online news sources. Previous studies have stated that the presentation of the substance of online news information can have negative impacts, especially the emergence of anxiety in users; thus, managing the presentation of information becomes important. This study intends to explore factors that should be considered as possible anxiety-inducers for readers of news sites. Analyses of areas of interest (AOIs), fixation, and heat maps from respondents’ eye activity obtained from eye-tracker data have been compiled with Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) measurement results to analyze anxiety among newsreaders. The results show that text is the dominant center of attention in various types of news. The reason for the higher anxiety that arises from text on online news sites is twofold. First, there are the respondents’ experiences. Second, text usage allows for boundless possibilities in respondents’ imaginations as a response to the news that has occurred.
AbstrakGaya kehidupan manusia semakin beragam dan padat sehingga banyak terjadi dimana penyakit dan gangguan pada tubuh diketahui ketika sudah dalam kondisi parah. Kebanyakan manusia tidak disiplin dalam memantau kesehatan mereka karena dirasa belum ada cara yang mudah dan efisien, cara yang mayoritas digunakan adalah check-up ke rumah sakit. Iris mata manusia dapat menjadi salah satu media atau sarana dalam mengenali gangguan kondisi tubuh seseorang. Pola yang muncul pada iris mata dapat dikenali dengan bantuan teknologi jaringan saraf tiruan yang salah satunya adalah metode RBF yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini. Hasil yang ditemui pada penelitian ini adalah penggunaan metode RBF mampu untuk mengenali pola yang ada di iris mata, dan dapat memberikan hasil pengenalan penyakit kompleks dan stress dengan akurasi yang dibilang masih rata-rata (sekitar 50%). The iris of the human eye can be one of the media or means in recognizing a person's body condition disorder. Patterns that appear on the iris can be identified with the help of artificial neural network technology one of which is the RBF method used in this study. The results found in this study are the use of RBF method to recognize the existing pattern in the iris and can provide the results of the introduction of complex diseases and stress with an accuracy that is still fairly average (about 50%). The use of social media is increasingly varied and full of innovation along with the development of information technology. Initially it was intended as a means of communicating in the digital world and socializing with other people without being limited by distance and time, but now it is starting to have value in the business world. The earliest known and used examples are usage for promotions, advertisements, and info about new services. However, as companies become aware of the value of social relationships with customers, social media is again taking part for companies to maintain relationships with their customers. For business purposes, risk is a problem that must be minimized and even avoided. The application of social media in business is still risky and a standard assessment is needed to assess whether the return value that will be obtained is worth it or not. Therefore, this research uses a case study of a building materials PT in implementing Social Customer Relationship Management in business processes and assesses it using the standards of the Balanced Scorecard.
Today, M-Commerce has become one of the common choices as a way of shopping for society. Therefore, the transaction in m-commerce grows significantly. Moreover, the competition of M-Commerce increases and the performance should be improved primarily for the satisfaction of buyers. These conditions are seen from an improvement of the features and service options that can be used by users, even outside the process of buying and selling goods. Increasing amount of features may reduce the usability of the application which may impact on the performance of M-Commerce. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the usability of M-Commerce service. Our study addressed to evaluate the usability of one famous M-Commerce in Indonesia. The evaluation process was performed by using cognitive walkthrough and heuristic usability method. Data collection is done by using depth interview and questionnaire to collect quantitative and qualitative data. Our findings show some new insight for designers and developers about M-Commerce especially about usability and the potential of usability to improving the satisfaction of users in terms of using the M-Commerce application overall.
