Children's programming and development of the field of logical mathematical relationships in Primary Education Children: Teaching with Bit by Bit ABSTRACT The advancement of information and communication technologies contributes to the development of society in various fields, mainly in education, where programming has become a primary literacy process at an early age. For this reason, the "Mentes Brillantes" course was created with the aim of analyzing the influence of children's programming through the mobile application "Bit by bit" to optimize the development of logical-mathematical relationships in school children. The project, framed in qualitative-quantitative research, with a non-experimental design and a non-probabilistic sampling type for convenience, worked with 67 children between the ages of 5 and 6 years. The instrument used for data collection was the Basic Functions test from MINEDUC which covers 5 learning areas. As a result, a better performance was evidenced in the lateral domain area which turned to be the most relevant compared to the others. The analysis allowed to conclude that programming apps optimize cognitive development and that in turn they should be complemented with attractive activities that allow the child to develop their mathematical logical thinking.
