The tracking index: A generalized para meter for a-f3 and a·{:l·[" target trackers. General expressions are derived for the density and distribution functions of the amplitude of a linear matched mter output given a nonfluctuatlng target in arbitrary clutter. These generalized Rieian density and distribution functions are based on the density function of the clutter amplitude at the receiver output, and are easily evaluated numerically. Fur thermore, we present error bounds for the numerical calculation of the density function. We also present several numerical example s.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
