Compounds of a randomly diluted ferromagnetic system La 2 Ni 1−x Zn x MnO 6 (LNZ x MO) (x = 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8) have been synthesized by Sol-gel technique. These compounds possess monoclinic structure (P2 1 /n, space group number 14) at room temperature. Below the Curie temperature (T C ), LNZ x MO are soft ferromagnets with low values of remanent magnetization (M r ) and coercivity (H c ) for x less than equal to 0.6. The exchange interaction is of short range nature. Freezing of clusters is observed in LNZ 0.8 MO below T = 10 K. Although, LNZ x MO is a randomly diluted ferromagnetic system, no signature of Griffiths phase (GP) is found.6 4 , S = 0) and both ions have comparable ionic radii. So we expect magnetic dilution effect with relatively small change in structural properties.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
