Smart manufacturing is mainly dealing with the collection of real time data using sensors and the data utilization to improve a system. In this study, important characteristics of smart manufacturing, which must be considered in shipbuilding are presented. Shipbuilding process itself consists of various complex operations, starting from the ship design until the delivery to customers. However, this paper only focuses on the production and control activities for the shipbuilding product. Some required smart technologies, such as augmented reality, big data, and smart sensors, are listed. Various optimization problems in shipbuilding process that utilizes the collected data are defined. In addition, strategies related with smart manufacturing concept, which are required to solve problems are addressed. Relations between the optimization problems and strategies are described, and expected increase in the company's productivity after the implementation of the smart manufacturing concept is discussed. In addition, suggestions for future researches are proposed.
PT X adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi kosmetik di Indonesia.Dengan semakin meningkatnya permintaan konsumen PT X terus berupaya untuk dapat memenuhi permintaan tepat waktu, dengan melakukan perbaikan terus menerus dan berkesinambungan (continuous improvement). Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui waktu baku dan output baku proses produksi mood lipstick yang merupakan produk baru PT X. Teknik pengukuran waktu kerja yang digunakan yaitu secara langsung, menggunakan metode pengukuran waktu jam henti (stopwatch). Tahapan pengolahan data yang dilakukan yaitu dengan uji keseragaman data dan uji kecukupan data, kemudian dilakukan perhitungan waktu normal dan waktu baku (standar), serta perhitungan terhadap output baku proses mixing,filling dan packing mood lipstick. Dari penelitian ini dapat diketahui waktu baku proses mixing mood lipstick sebesar 10.490,81 detik, 39,09 detik pada proses filling mood lipstick, dan 36,71 detik pada proses packing mood lipstick. Output baku proses mixing mood lipstick adalah sebanyak 2 batch/hari, 3.848 pcs lipstick/hari pada proses filling, dan 2.059 pcs lipstick/hari pada proses packing.
PT.Grafindo Mitrasemesta merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang percetakan, terutama untuk kebutuhan otomotif, 90% produk yang dihasilkan adalah produk stripe sepeda motor.Masalah utama pada proses produksi adalah sering terjadinya defect produk. Penelitian ini dibuat untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktorapa saja yang mempengaruhi terhadap terjadinya defect. Berdasarkan data yang ada, diketahui jumlah defect debu/kotor dan defect melebar adalah dua jenis defect terbesar. Dari hasil analisa dapat diketahui faktor penyebab kerusakan berasal dari aspek manusia, mesin, metode kerja, material dan lingkungan kerja. Dari hasil analisa tersebut dilakukan perbaikan dengan lean six sigmadengan pendekatan DMAIC berhasil menurunkan persentase defect terhadap hasil output dan penurunan DPMO yang cukup signifikan.
Palm kernel shell supply chain is a partial network of integrated palm oil supply chain network having potential business to be developed in order to reduce waste in the network. Sustainability and uncertainty are important challenges in the supply chain network design to make the business network sustain. This research work aims to design a Strategy of Sustainable Multi-Echelon Supply Chain based on Hybrid NSGA-II and Reinforcement Learning Under Uncertainty in Palm Kernel Shell Material Flow. We design a mathematical model with triple objectives in palm kernel shell supply chain network to meet sustainability criteria with economy, social, and environmental impact from the supply chain. To solve tripe objective function Hybrid NSGA II is designed to reach Pareto optimal solution combined with Reinforcement Learning to reach beneficial solution during optimization processes. The hybrid methodology found 28 alternatives strategy and outperform other method in multi-objective model solution processes. The calculation shows environmental reduction (in kg carbon reduction) to 252 kg and economic impact in complex palm kernel shell supply chain network rather than previous research. The solution also suggests the network configuration fo palm kernel shells material flow.
