<p>This study aims to improve the skills of writing news on the student of Language and Literature Education Indonesia  using strategy cooperatif type group investigation.This type of research is classroom action research with qualitative descriptive method. This research model refers to a model Kemmis and Mc Taggart. Subjects were students of Indonesian education enrolled in the academic year 2017/2018. Data collected by the test and non-test techniques. The instrument used, namely in the form of news writing test, interview and observation sheet. The results showed that an increase in news writing skills using strategy cooperatif type group investigation.This is evidenced from the average value of students in each cycle. The average value of 62.12 students in prasiklus then increased in the first cycle to 66.24 and the second cycle the average value of students increased to 87.00.</p><p> </p><p> </p>

This study aims obtaining an understanding of the shifting of Minangkabau cultural values. It uses qualitative descriptive through genetic structuralism approach. Issues covered are: (1) description of the intrinsic elements; (2) shift in cultural values in terms of social structure; (3) shift in cultural values in terms of the author's view. Data are sentences or paragraphs, dialogue and monologue taken from the novel Persiden written by Wisran Hadi. The intrinsic elements are themes, plots, characters, and background. Shifting social structure includes the nature of man and fellow covering courtesy, consensus, reconciliation, and responsibility. The life nature involves religious culture. The work nature includes the independence and human nature against time includes discipline value. The author's view includes change or inclusion of something that will shift the cultural values that already exist in society. When people grasp hold these values then everything can be controlled. On the contrary, cultural values would be destroyed if the society does not hold values that already exist. The study recommends the renewal and improvement of teaching materials by teachers. Through introducing literature to students will help students to improve their understanding of literature and broaden the perspective of students about the culture as a whole. One of the efforts made by teachers for professional development as educators is to take care of promotions. In accordance with ministerial regulations, one of the requirements for proposing a promotion is that educators or teachers must produce research in the form of scientific articles or scientific publications that are useful and have innovations in the world of education. The article must be published in a journal or OJS. Due to the lack of knowledge of teachers regarding this matter, training was conducted at elementary, junior high, and high school / equivalent teachers in Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. The training methods used are lecture, discussion and demonstration methods. The results of the training show significant progress on the knowledge and ability of teachers in writing and publishing scientific articles through OJS journals

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan kepada pembaca, pada generasi muda dan penikmat Koba tentang makna dan fungsi yang terkandung dalam Koba Panglima Awang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Data pada umumnya berupa pencatatan, foto, rekaman, dan dokumen resmi lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan dalam koba Panglimo Awang memiliki makna dan fungsi. Berdasarkan makna Koba Panglimo Awang memiliki tiga kategori makna itu adalah (1) kasih sayang, (2) kesadaran kolektif, dan (3) pengakuan stratifikasi social, sedangkan berdasarkan fungsinya Koba Panglima Awang sebagai salah satu media berfungsi pewarisan pendidikan yang turun temurun dari ke generasi-generasi selanjutnya. Selanjutnya fungsi sebagai harga diri, adanya kebudayaan yang turun temurun yang harus diwarisi. Fungsi selanjutnya yaitu sebagai hiburan dalam koba terdapat pada alur, pantun bidal-bidal dan keseluruhan koba fungsi sebagai hiburan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka dapat dsimpulkan bahwa Koba Panglimo Awang memiliki makna dan Fungsi.
